In June of this year, the Sacramento County Sheriff’s Department was made aware of an alleged sexual assault involving a juvenile student at Foothill High School and an adult staff member. The incident reportedly occurred approximately two years ago.
Sheriff’s Department Detectives conducted an extensive follow-up investigation into this matter and were able to identify a suspect in the case. The suspect was identified as 32-year-old Stephen Calton of Citrus Heights.
On November 29, 2018, Sheriff’s Department Detectives arrested Calton at his home without incident. Calton was booked into custody at the Sacramento County Main Jail on charges pertaining to oral copulation with a person under 18 years of age. Calton was also booked for a violation of his probation status and due to the violation of probation, he is currently ineligible for bail.
