On November 21, 2018, Sheriff’s Deputies responded to the 2900 block of Marconi Avenue after being requested by the Sacramento Metropolitan Fire Department. The fire department was on the scene at an apartment complex after being called by a male who explained his girlfriend was injured. Fire Department personnel determined the female was dead at the scene.
Sheriff’s Deputies responded and spoke with fire department personnel who expressed concerns relating to this being a suspicious death.
As the preliminary stages of this investigation unfolded, deputies concurred with the findings of the fire department. Homicide detectives were summoned to the location along with crime scene investigators who began processing the scene while attempting to determine what took place.
Since this incident, homicide investigators have been diligently working to find justice for this homicide victim. Detectives determined the suspect was the victim’s boyfriend and identified him as 35-year-old Clint Parker of Sacramento.
Detectives secured an arrest warrant for Parker for the charge of murder and on January 2, 2019, Parker was arrested by detectives from the Sheriff’s Department Major Crimes Bureau. Parker is currently being held in the Sacramento County Main Jail and is ineligible for bail due to his charges.
