On March 30, 2019, at 9:20 P.M., the Sacramento County Sheriff’s Office responded to a shooting in the Foothill Farms area, which left two men dead.
Detectives from the Sacramento County Sheriff’s Office Homicide Bureau responded to the scene and began the investigation. Over the last several days, detectives have interviewed several witnesses, reviewed video evidence and also reviewed other physical evidence found at the scene and on the victims’ bodies.
Statements from witnesses indicated the victims shot each other after arguing and brandishing firearms toward one another. After carefully reviewing all of the evidence, detectives concluded the physical evidence corroborated witness statements and confirmed the two men shot and killed each other.
The victims have been identified as 35-year-old Kareem Simmons of Sacramento and 40-year old Shaneil Tucker also of Sacramento. It is believed the two victims knew each other and were related through another family relationship.
There are no outstanding suspects in this investigation.
