Your Actions Save Lives: Celebrate Fourth of July Holiday Responsibly
As we approach the Fourth of July holiday, the Rancho Cordova Police Department (RCPD) encourages our community to be responsible and safe over Independence Day weekend by not driving impaired.
July 4th falls on a Saturday this year, and to keep families safe, RCPD will have officers on patrol over the weekend to identify alcohol and drug-impaired drivers to keep our community safe.
YOU can make our community safer. Drive with care and slow down. Follow traffic laws, including speed laws and no texting laws.
If you plan to drink, don’t drive. Period. In addition, DUI doesn’t just mean alcohol. Prescription drugs with warnings labels about driving, and marijuana, especially in combination with alcohol or other drugs, can also impair driving and result in a DUI. If you see an impaired driver on the road, immediately call 911.
RCPD encourages our community to think of the safety of themselves and their families when enjoying the Independence Day holiday. Your actions save lives.
